Hanna Jallo is the passionate owner and operator of Long Dog Dahlias. Hanna’s love for growing flowers started with a small patch of dahlias in her backyard, and through her can-do, farmer’s attitude has expanded into a full-service flower farm on 2 bountiful acres in Long Grove, Iowa. She’s committed to sustainable growing methods, ensuring that her practices benefit the environment and the community. Hanna’s attention to detail and pursuit of perfect specialty cut flowers produce some of the highest quality blooms in the Midwest.
Meet Augie, the charming long-haired miniature dachshund and a beloved supervisor of our flower farm. Augie’s keen eye for finding the perfect shady spots makes him a master of comfort and relaxation. Whether he’s lounging under a dahlia or taking a well-deserved nap, Augie embodies the laid-back spirit of farm life. With his chonkiness and endearing personality, he brings joy to everyone who visits the farm. Augie isn’t just a pet; he’s a cherished member of our team, ensuring that every day on the farm is filled with love and delight.
Meet Chumley, Augie’s adventurous brother and the unofficial guardian of our flower farm. With a keen nose for mischief, Chumley spends his days on the lookout for rabbits that might be nibbling on the precious blooms. His vigilant nature makes him an excellent guard dog, always alert and cautious around anyone who isn’t part of his trusted circle. Despite his protective instincts, Chumley’s endearing charm and undeniable cuteness win over the hearts of those he gets to know. Chumley adds a touch of excitement to farm life, ensuring our flowers remain safe and vibrant.
